Golden Chinese BBQ
About This Spot
Golden Chinese BBQ feels like one of those neighborhood gems where the focus is quietly, lovingly on the food and the people who gather around it. Nestled along Arlington’s E Pioneer Parkway, it has the easygoing comfort of a spot known and returned to by locals who appreciate authentic flavors served without fuss. There’s a gentle rhythm in the air—nothing rushed, just the warmth of a kitchen with heart and familiar faces behind the counter welcoming you in.
Step inside and you’ll find a space that invites you to slow down and savor. The atmosphere is straightforward and unpretentious, the kind where friends, families, and solo diners alike come to share moments over plates of smoky, richly glazed roasted pork or tender duck that carries a hint of celebration in every bite. You might notice the soft murmur of conversations mingling with the occasional clink of chopsticks, underlining a feeling of connectedness—not just to the food but to the small human moments made meaningful through a shared meal.
At Golden Chinese BBQ, the menu feels like an unfolding story of classic dishes brought to life with care—where each combination plate offers a little piece of tradition, and every fried rice or clay pot holds a comforting, familiar touch. The slow-cooked BBQ ribs, the well-loved orange chicken, and the fragrant lobster fried rice create a warm palette of flavors, inviting visitors into a gentle journey through Cantonese-style BBQ and home-style dishes that feel as honest as they are satisfying.
There’s a sincerity in the way the owners approach their craft. The subtle language barriers sometimes encountered only add to the genuine atmosphere, a quiet reminder that this place is about keeping culinary heritage alive with love, even across cultural lines. Regulars return not just for the food but for the understated kindness and dedication they find here—a comforting presence that turns dining into a little ritual of warmth and belonging in Arlington’s spread of local eats.

The roasted pork was so crispy ! My kids love the fried rice from here. Definitely recommend. ^^ the owners are sweet. there might be a language barrier but they're doing their best. That's how you know the food is authentic.

April 2022 Ordered dinner to go over the phone. The guy on the phone was very blunt but nice. I ordered the Crispy Chicken, BBQ Pork, and Sautéed Mixed Vegetables. The food is always good here. July 2021 Had a quick lunch here and ordered Fried Fish Filet w. Eggplant in Hot Pot and half of a Roast Duck. The roast duck is always good here. Tried the fish & egg plant hot pot for the first time and it was excellent. Both dishes were full of flavor.

The foods are alright not as good as Ocean Chinese Seafood restaurant. Fried rice is supposed to be dry but since they put veggie in there, its sticky. The flat noodle doesnt have good smoky flavor, the sauce are bland. The prices are decent so cant complain.
